Kari was the youngest child in a family that included brothers, cats, dogs, and every critter she could get to come home with her. She learned to walk by balancing on the cocker spaniel and soon after, had every puppy in the house in her training classes. Destiny called!
After completing her Master’s Degree in Psychology, Kari continued to study behavior in numerous seminars and workshops. Operant and Classical Conditioning were her foundation into Clicker Training. As a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Kari has been given the opportunity to study along side many well know behaviorists.
Her passion for dog sports is evident with the numerous AKC titles she has earned with her dogs in Obedience, Agility, Herding and Tracking.
For over a decade Kari, served as Training Director for a large AKC Club. She went on to operate the largest doggie daycare and training facility in Arkansas, before opening a training center for family dogs, that included dog sports. She later expanded this by developing a wilderness retreat center for seminars and workshops.
A rescued Border Collie, Cosmo, changed training for Kari, as she learned to help others and herself with a reactive dog.
Since relocating to Oregon, Kari shares her home with her Border Collie, a Shih Tzu, 2 cats and a dozen chickens and one very tolerant man! She brings the area Critters Training…a chance to have fun with your pet, survive their youth, iron out any issues, play some games and include the entire family!
